10 Super Easy Digital Nomad Visas To Get

More and more countries seem to understand the importance of digital nomad visas. So, there is no shortage in digital nomad visas. However, there is a big difference in the criteria you need to meet to apply and their application process. In order to help you out, I’ve put together a list in which you can find your ideal easy digital nomad visa.

What Makes a Digital Nomad Visa Easy to Apply For?

Minimum Income Requirement

If you want to apply for a digital nomad visa, you need to meet certain criteria. The most important criteria is often a minimum income requirement.

The lower the income requirement, the easier it is to qualify. Therefore, I took into account the minimum income level by looking for a easy digital nomad visa.

Income requirements will mostly be linked to the cost of living in a country. The higher the cost of living, the higher the minimum income requirement will mostly be.

Furthermore, countries want to ensure they attract digital nomads with a good amount of cash to spend in order to support the local economy. Nevertheless, some countries don’t have a minimum income requirement.

Application Process

Another element apart from the application requirements like a minimum income requirement is an easy application process.

It’s nice if it is easy to qualify for a certain DNV but if the process doesn’t work, you might want to think twice before applying.

In this respect, I specifically focused on the fact whether or not it’s possible to apply for the visa online or not. For some visas you need to visit the embassy in your home country. This is a real pain if you’re already on the road and don’t plan to go back there before heading to the country where you want a digital nomad visa for. You might be suprised by the fact that you can only apply for a digital nomad visa for Estonia at the embassy while a lot of other things in the country can be done online.

What to Pay Attention to When You Are on a Digital Nomad Visa

Before you apply for a digital nomad, you want to make sure to check the requirements. If you don’t meet them, it doesn’t make sense to apply. This will seem quite obvious to most people.

Yet, many people forget that applying and using a digital nomad visa can also have other consequences.

If you stay in a country long term, this can have unwanted tax implications. You could become a tax resident of the country. And, if you didn’t plan for it accordingly, this can cost you a lot of money.

Therefore, you should always pay attention to the possible tax consequences of using your new digital nomad visa to stay in the country. Accordingly, I would suggest to always encourage you to do your research and/or to speak to a professional who can guide you.
